NARRATIVE
Rebuilt after the Marshall Fire on a site cherished for decades, this home transforms loss into opportunity. The design was reimagined from the ground up to clarify light, views, and spatial flow. Elevated above the street on a sloping site, the main level reads as a quiet refuge, while shed roofs replace traditional gables - their broad surfaces topped with solar panels, giving the home a contemporary profile tailored to the context.
Inside, a glazed mono-stringer stair and stone-wrapped elevator anchor a light-filled circulation spine. Kitchen, dining, and living spaces wrap the northwest and south edges, capturing daylight throughout the day, while a music room, guest bedrooms, and a conservatory offer flexible living space for hobbies and visiting family.
The entire upper level is a private sanctuary: the primary suite features an elevated deck with view corridors to the mountains, a spa-like bath with steam shower and soaking tub, a second private deck, and a meditation landing bathed in morning light. The lower level holds a guest suite, theater, and pool/bar area, plus a laundry room with custom dog-wash sink providing built-in comfort for the household's pugs.
Sustainability is woven throughout: solar-ready shed roofs, high-performance glazing, and durable, low-maintenance materials - shelter built for resilience and decades of daily life.
